Phyna Files Police Report Against Beauty Hair Brand Over Wig Dispute and Cyberbullying
Popular Nigerian actress and Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has taken to social media to cry out against cyberbullying and false accusations surrounding a rented wig. In a recent post, she revealed that she faced relentless harassment and embarrassment in December over the seemingly trivial matter, and has now sought the help of the Nigerian police to bring the perpetrators to justice.
According to Phyna's attached petition, the ordeal began on December 10th, 2023, at a movie premiere in Lagos. Needing a hairstylist for the event, she contracted the services of one Teniola Azeez Olalekan. However, things took a nasty turn when someone using the phone number 08075884184, associated with a beauty hair business named "dbeautyhair," began spreading malicious rumours and insults about Phyna online. These posts, shared across various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp, allegedly damaged her reputation and brand image.
Refusing to take matters into her own hands, Phyna opted for a legal approach. She filed a petition with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti-Yaba, Lagos, accusing Damilola Olaore (presumably the owner of dbeautyhair) and others of conspiracy, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. The petition details the incident and includes copies of the incriminating online posts as evidence.
In her social media post, Phyna expressed her hope that justice will be served. She used the hashtag #unusualPhyna, showcasing her resilience and determination in the face of adversity. This incident highlights the growing issue of cyberbullying and emphasizes the importance of seeking legal recourse when faced with such malicious attacks.

The case is currently under investigation by the Nigerian police, and further developments are expected in the coming days.
