ASABA – Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has sparked a wave of warm celebrations across the state after releasing a deeply personal and poetic tribute to his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, on the occasion of her 56th birthday.

In a social media post that quickly went viral today, February 5, 2026, the Governor bypassed formal political rhetoric to celebrate the woman he described as his "love and best friend."

The Governor’s message highlighted the First Lady’s character, focusing on her spiritual devotion and her role within their family.

"You make every day a pleasure with your self-effacing mien, cheerful disposition, love for God, devotion to family, disciplined work ethic, and service to humanity. I celebrate you today and always. Happy birthday, my love and best friend."

The tribute was met with an immediate outpouring of affection from Deltans, who took to the comments to praise the First Lady's impact through her signature pet project, the You Matter Charity Foundation.
