FG Announces May 29 And June 12 Public Holidays
The Federal Republic of Nigeria has declared Wednesday, May 29th, 2019, and Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 a work-free day, to commemorate Democracy Day and the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for a second term in office respectively.
The announcement was made on Monday, May 20th, 2019 by Nigeria's minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a press conference ahead of the inauguration of the second term in office of President Buhari.

And, according to Bashir Ahmad, the New Media aide of Buhari, the public holiday was stated by the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau on his verified Twitter handle,

Several governors across the country would also be sworn-in on Wednesday.
Going further, Lai Mohammed said people who desire to be invited to the presidential inauguration will be invited to Democracy Day.
