Announcing The Finalists Of The 2019 UHM Online Dance Competition (1st Edition)

We are sending a huge appreciation to everyone who participated in our online dance contest and helped make it a success!

A special congratulations  also to the Ultimate Hypermediass Online Dance Competition 1st edition winner D. Healerz Crew, as well as the first runner up Stonchswag, second runner up Milton Richie, and the third runner up Wayne.


Below are the finalists (winner inclusively) video entry and responses gotten from an interview session with some of them.


1. D. Healerz Crew


D. Healerz Crew founded and headed by Iweriso Jenkins Miebaka  received 164 votes, and has been crowned the winner of the 2019 Ultimate Hypermediass Online Dance Contest! Read some of the responses  gotten from their leader when we interrogated him.

Tell us about D. Healerz Crew.

D. Healerz Crew is actually a gospel dance crew. Basically, we deal on different kinds of dance: dance hall, contemporary, hip-hop, and the rest of it. We have an academy where we train younger ones who are coming up. We base in Port-Harcourt precisely. That's River state, Nigeria. We started our biography actually in 2009... Our aim is to own a dance studio in order to pass out vision to the talented ones who wants to have a fellowship with God...

I'm Iweriso Jenkins. I'm a model. An Agricultural Economics graduate from Federal University of Technology, Owerri. By the grace of God, I will be 28 by November. I'm from Port-Harcourt...

What is your ambition in life?

My ambition actually is to be great. I want to be known in Nigeria and the world as regards my field being a model and a dancer...

Who is your idol?

D. Healerz Crew are inspired by Xfellaz and The king's...

What were the challenges you encountered during the competition?

The challenges I encountered was trying to convince people to vote for me. Transferring the money was an issue. The publicity was not that okay...

Who supported you most to become a dancer?

My sisters and my brothers.

What type of dance do you like?

9ja,  Hip-hop, and Contemporary.

What is your plans towards D. Healerz Crew?

We are having an anniversary/a concert by November in Port-Harcourt. I think you have to watch out for that. It's been more than ten years now, so we really want to do the anniversary to call everybody...

How did you feel throughout the competition?

Honestly, I was relaxed. It was challenging a bit, but I was relaxed...

How was it to perform in an online setting?

It was cool. I think so many persons did not understand what it means... Some other persons were given a medium of having the concept of people that have won their competition, that theirs is different and all that... They forgot this is an organisation... I understood everything so I decided not to follow their complaints and see how it will end.

Have you ever performed in an online competition?

Yes.

How did you feel during the winning moment?

I was so happy... I was overwhelmed.

What was UHM jury like?

It was cool.

Are you confident about your future and career?

Very well! 100%!

Who would you like to thank?

I will love to thank Ultimate Hypermediass for this great opportunity to be the winner of the competition. God bless you very much! I also thank my fans, friends, and everybody that has been wishing me well. I say God bless you all mightily!

What's your message to upcoming dancers?

They should strive hard. Keep on progressing. The Lord will take them to their destination.

2. Stonchswag


Stonchswag received 134 votes, and he is the first runner up. Read his responses below.

Tell us about yourself.

I'm Chiemerie Ifewulu Kingsley known as Stonchswag. I'm from Anambara state. The only child of my parents, and I'm currently in SS2. I'm 15years old, and I love  dancing.

Who is your idol?

My idol is Poco Lee.

What is your ambition in life?

To become a known dancer and a computer programmer.

How was it participating in an online setting?

It was a bit stressful but all the same I give God the glory.

Have you ever participated in an online competition?

Yea, I  have.

What was UHM jury like?

It was good. Although some contestants never believed the organisers were real. Even me but I told myself that to achieve your goal you have to invest in it. That was why I took the risk of participating in the competition. Although, I  lost but I'm not discouraged at all.

Who supported you most to become a dancer?

I started on my own without any support but as time goes on Blaze, an artist supported me. He was the reason I scored the second position because he supported me monetarily and others.

What type of dance do you like?

Afro dance.

Are you confident about your future and career?

100% sure!
It's just a matter of time.

How do you feel being the first runner up?

I'm feeling happy and grateful to God, and to those that supported me. It's by God's grace that I made it.  So, I'm thankful to Him.

How did you feel throughout the competition?

I was Not worried or disturbed. I just kept praying for God's will to be done.

Who would you like to thank?

Blaze and Maryanna. The two are the main reason I won the first runner up.  They got my shout out.

What's your message to upcoming dancers?

My message to other upcoming dancers is to keep  on with their talent and not be discouraged for losing but to put more effort in what they do.

3. Milton Richie

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Daniel Moses Okoye. My stage name is Wayne. I'm the last child out of eight (8) children in my family. I started dancing since I was 10. And, I'm a 200 level Babcock University student.

Who is your idol?

Yemi Osokoya of Westsyde Lifestyle.

What is your ambition in life?

To be a programmer. Then dance can be added.

How was it participating in an online contest?

It was some how scamming.
But, at a time I realised that it's not a scam. So, it's good for upcoming dancers to learn more. I know I'm not perfect but I know I'm a real dancer.

Have you ever participated in an online competition?

This is my first online dance competition. And I must say I'm impressed. Even if I don't win any money I believe there is still time for everything.

What was UHM jury like?

It was good.

Who supported you most to become a dancer?

My siblings.

Which type of dance do you like?

Afro.

Are you confident about your future and career?

Very well.

How do you feel being the third runner up?

I didn't even know I will be part of it.

How did you feel throughout the competition?

Normal. And ready for anything.

What's your message to upcoming dancers?

To try hard. Never give up! Believe in haters and improve with their insults. Face your dreams, and academics too.
