Ghanaian Rapper Sarkodie Responds to Yvonne Nelson's Pregnancy Allegations

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has responded to actress Yvonne Nelson's allegations that he impregnated her and refused to take responsibility. In his latest single, "Try Me [Raw]", Sarkodie claims that he asked Nelson to keep the pregnancy even though he wasn't ready to be the father.

"Yes, I wasn't ready but then I told you to keep it. So, don't make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion," he raps in the first verse of the song.

Sarkodie also dismissed Nelson's book, "I Am Not Yvonne Nelson", as being "not so great" but getting patronage because of the negative things she wrote.

"Not because your book is really good but we are living in a world where negativity sells," he raps.

The rapper urged Nelson to take the blame for her own actions and "stop the personal attacks."

Yvonne's book, which was released in March 2023, has been a bestseller in Ghana. In it, she recounts her experiences in the entertainment industry, including her relationship with Sarkodie.

The allegations of pregnancy and abortion have not been independently verified.

The exchange between Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson has sparked a heated debate on social media, with some fans supporting the rapper and others supporting the actress.

It remains to be seen whether Nelson will respond to Sarkodie's song.
